Take part in what promises to be a week long way to learn how to perform, make new friends and most importantly have FUN! fib Youth Theatre is inviting you to take part in their Summer Theatre School.
Each week is packed with fun intensive workshops in Movement, Song, Dance, Improvisation, Comedy and Stage Skills. It culminates in a Musical performance on the final day in our Fantastic theatre at Elmbank Studios!. This year we have something for everyone – From Comedy and Story telling to Musical Theatre and Murder Mysteries, whatever you’re looking for fib is the place to find it!
Event 1: An Adventure In TV Land, Ages: 3-6
10.00am – 12.00pm each day
Join all of your favourite characters from Peppa Pig, to Ben 10, Little Miss Giggles and a whole host of others and have fantastic fun in this exciting adventure. Learn songs, scenes and dances and get dressed up and perform on the final day at 12.00pm.
Event 3: Wizards of Waverly Place, Ages: 5-8
10.00am – 4.00pm each day
Using themes and characters from this well know TV show, a brand new and exciting performance will be devised and performed on the final day. With Spells,tricks and potions this promises to be a magic week!!
Event 4: Ghost Busters, A Comedy Special!, Ages: 9+
10.00am – 4.00pm each day
Working with Expressive Arts Director Jacquii Gavigan, a fun filled comedy show will be devised throughout the week. If you love to make people laugh and acting out crazy characters this is the perfect week for you!
Event 5: Snowhite, Ages: 5-8
10.00am – 4.00pm each day
Join Snowhite and all of her forest friends as they go on an amazing and magical adventure. Meet her new friends who will be guaranteed to make you laugh. If you love dress up and magical stories this is the week for you.
Event 6: Alice – A magical adventure, Ages: 9-12
10.00am – 4.00pm each day, Mon - Fri
Join Alice on her quest to find her old friends as she returns to the place she once dreamed of. With newsongs, scenes and dances this promises to be a fantastic week!
Event 7: Elphaba the next chapter! Ages: 12+
10.00am – 4.00pm each day, Mon - Sat
They have been happy for so long, too long? Hidden away in their magic castle they have given birth to a beautiful baby girl “ Nessa” – However as she grows they realise that she too has the same powers as her mother and she decides to run away to Shiz, where she will begin her story – will she be hated just like her mother? Our story starts on her first day as rumours circulate about the new girl, the new green girl. A brand new and exciting story, with new and old songs – this promises to be an exciting week!
Event 8: Comedy Special! Captain Jack & the search for the black pearl, Ages: 7-11
10.00am – 4.00pm each day, Mon - Fri
Using themes and characters from the popular film a brand new and hilarious comedy will be devised and performed on the final day. If you love crazy characters and to make people laugh this is the week for you!!
Event 9: Comedy Special! Jaws! The shark's revenge Ages: 12+
10.00am – 4.00pm each day, Mon - Fri
It’s here! Following on from the huge success of last year’s big comedy week Airplane this promises to be just as much fun and just as crazy! With hilarious jokes, crazy characters and an amazing set this week is going to be Fabulous! And for all of you Airplaners … Melons!
Event 10: Shrek’s Swamp Party!, Ages: 3-6
10.00am – 12.00pm each day, Mon - Fri
All of your favourite characters are meeting Shrek down in the swamp for a little fun! But someone is out to spoil it – uh oh! Here comes trouble!
With fab costumes, a great set and lots of magical characters, this promises to be a fun and magical show.
Event 11: Murder Mystery Camping trip! Ages: 7-11
10.00am – 4.00pm each day, Mon - Fri
Following on from the success of our Treasure Island Murder Mystery – this one promises to be just as crazy and have just as much fun.
Set on a Scottish camp site there’s rumours of haunted toilets and ghosts in the woods – just as everyone is settling down to a good nights sleep, a scream is heard and the tour guide is found murdered – was it the ghost of the Wilbury woods or was it Murder and who done it? Only the audience can decide.
Event 12: Summer Camp Of Rock!, Ages: 3-6
10am – 4pm each day, Mon - Fri
Using songs from the popular Camp Rock, like We Rock and This is me, a brand new and exciting musical will be devised and performed on the final day. Add some costumes, a fab set, cool dances and great characters and this promises to be an exciting and fun new musical

Event 14: Teenage Years! A New Musical! Ages: 12+
10am - 4pm each day, Mon - Sat
Using themes and songs from the new musical 13. our story follows a group of young people as they discuss the trials and tribulations of being a teenager. From talking to boys, chatting up girls and of course – Parents! It will be filled with laughter, heartache and the need to be accepted. And at the end a very important message will be learned, teenage years arethe best years of your life and you should spend your days making memories that will be with you forever!
